Why this Blog was made?
This blog was made as one part of a Food Technology assessment studied by Year 10 within the Australian Cirriculum. The goal of the task was to visit a food truck, vendor or restaurant that portrays one of the five major food trends for 2019, each being- Street food, edible flowers, one concept cafes, no waste cooking and plant based foods. For this assessment, I chose Street food due to the wide variety of cultures and places that I could visit including food trucks and markets. After some thought there were three places that I wanted to choose from- the Knafeh food truck, the Rocks Markets and Parklea Markets. With time restrictions and busy weekends the best option was Parklea Markets as it was a short drive away and I could choose from a variety of food places. After walking around for a while, I found a Filipino Food truck near the fruit and vegetables, chose a few items from the menu and tasted it. The whole experience was very enjoyable but with a larger time frame, I believe that I could have found a much cleaner place to visit and try food.
